First, we have the story of the Ellingham family in 1936. An unsolved kidnapping and murder that took place at Ellingham Academy. Second, we have the present day, where we follow the protagonist Stevie as she attends this academy and tries to find out the truth about this crime. Stevie is a crime enthusiast and very determined to find out what happened. Along with this crime, she ends up learning and uncovered current secrets and mysteries as well. My Thoughts:      This was the first book I have ever read by Maureen Johnson, and it did not disappoint me at all. I was intrigued when I first read the synopsis and the first chapter pulled me in right away.    ...

Favourite Books I Read During Quarantine

With all the extra free time quarantine has given me, I have spent a lot of that time reading. I have been finding so many new books and authors to check out. I enjoy most books I read and the ones that made this list are the ones I enjoyed the most.  1. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson Brief Summary:  A Good Girl's Guide to Murder follows the main character, Pip, as she focuses on completing a school project that is above and beyond what anyone could have imagined. She is determined to prove that a boy who was believed to have murdered his girlfriend, is innocent. She befriends this boys younger brother, Ravi, and the two of them set on this mission.  My Thoughts: This book quickly became one of my favourites. The plot moves along very quickly and never leaves you bored. I love books where everything is pieced together in the end and I can go back and read the details that led up to the mystery.
